Our Approach

We are a small family-run business with a passion for connecting children with the natural world.

Our team works in partnership with the natural world to deliver experiences that support children to grow and thrive based on contemporary research and science regarding children’s development. We appreciate the whole child and holistically seek to nurture children’s physical health; emotional well-being; learning about themselves and the world around them; and connections with peers, nature, and the wider community. We are fortunate to have private access to 10-acres of space, which provides plenty of opportunity for outdoor exploration and play, inspired by our vast natural environment. Our property also allows children to observe, appreciate, relate to, and learn about a diverse range of native species as well as the animals that live on our farm.

At Enchanted Childhoods, there is an intentionality behind everything thing we do. Our programs seamlessly balance and blend unstructured and child-led play with enquiry-based learning and educational provocations linked to key areas of children’s development. Core to our curriculum is a commitment to respecting and valuing every individual, honouring their interests and strengths, and providing children with agency and opportunities to lead their own learning. Through our programs we develop children’s confidence, cultivate a sense of calm and joy, and also seek to forge lasting connections with the natural world that ultimately encourage caring for our environment and making a positive impact on the world our children will grow up in.
